Balenciaga

Balenciaga is an extremely well known fashion house found by Cristobal Balenciaga. He was a Spanish fashion designer born in the Basque Country in Spain. He had a reputation of having compromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior.

Today Balenciaga has changed hands a few times and is now owned by the Gucci Group. They are mostly famous for their motorcycle style bags, which is truthfully some of my favorite bags ever created. And if I had $1500+ to spend on a bag I would definitely be heading to www.balenciaga.com to review my choices. Most of their bags of made of top quality lambskin, and metal hardware, with the classic top handles. You can easily tell a balenciaga bag from any other because the front of the bag always looks mostly the same, with a front zipper, and two distinct metal studs. If you've never looked at Balenciaga before I would look now, especially if you are interested in purchasing a top quality, classic bag that will last you forever. Am I planning on spending that much on one of their bags? Probably not, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the view. Here are a few of my favorite colors and styles.

Wal-Mart

It just so happens that I work at Wal-Mart. Yes the dreaded evil corperation that shuts down small businesses? I work for them, and have done so for a very long time (Longer than I prefer mentioning). Now being that I have worked at this particular store for such a long time I have seen a lot of shall we say "interesting characters" and "unique fashion choices" that rival the worst offenders of the worst dressed celebrity lists. Recently I have begun getting emails that show pictures of a few of these examples, and are becoming more and more known. They are the People of Walmart. For an exceptionally good laugh check out the website at www.peopleofwalmart.com but for now I'll leave you with a few of my favorites. Good night!

Best Neighbor Ever!

So today I worked about 11 hours and was pretty tired when I got home from job number 2. I had a bit of a blowout with a coworker and was feeling both angry and depressed when I walked in the door to home. I opened my mail to find a card addressed to me. I opened it and it read :

Dear Brandy, Thank you so much for the invite. Unfortunately I didn't check my mail until after the party was over, but it was nice regardless. I think I'm a little old for partying but you feel free to throw one anytime you want. Won't bother me. I've included some treats for your dogs. Have a great day! `Alberta

Improved my mood so drastically. See I had thrown a Halloween Party last week and had sent my neighbor a courtesy invite. Her response back made me feel so great. What a great neighbor she is and I have had a few bad ones, believe me. So today's blog is to be grateful for the little things, and if you have a great neighbor why not let them know? I mean her little card lifted me up so much! So now I'm gonna check my polyvore, my twitter and then go watch some Grey's Anatomy!

The beauty of www.polyvore.com

Alright, so being that this is my first blog I thought I should fill you in on me. But.... I didn't really feel like so instead I'm gonna give you the scoop on www.polyvore.com. If you've never checked it out before do it now. It is this amazing tool that lets you put together outfits and share them with other people. Sounds pretty simple right? It is, mainly because it's really easy to use but it's also complex. There are huge subgroups on there that just use if for making beautiful art, (ie.http://www.polyvore.com/alive/set?id=24567126). Plus there are contests where you can actually win things (alright I haven't won anything yet but here's hoping). My favorite thing is that you get to check out up and coming designers and you can actually shop on the site. Ok well it redirects you to other sites but it is still a pretty cool feature that I have used in the past. That's all that I have to say for now but I will leave you with a pretty picture and hope that you have a great day!

Cheers!
